[IMPORTANT] These Membership and Payment Terms govern paid features, membership plans, Shells, auto-renewal, pricing, payment, and refunds. Please read them, and in particular the clauses in bold, before you purchase. They form part of, and are supplemented by, the Terms of Service.
1. Scope
These terms apply to your purchase and use of paid features of the Services. Terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.
2. Membership Plans
2.1 We may offer one or more paid membership tiers. The features, quotas, price, and billing period of each tier are as shown on the relevant purchase page at the time of purchase.
2.2 Membership benefits are for the account that purchased them and are not transferable unless we state otherwise.
3. Shells
3.1 Nature. "Shells" are a virtual tool within the Services used to redeem certain features. Shells are not currency, not a deposit, and cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or exchanged for cash.
3.2 You may obtain Shells by purchase, or as part of a membership benefit, trial, or promotion, as described on the relevant page.
3.3 Consumption. When you use a paid feature, Shells are deducted according to that feature's rules; the specific consumption rules are as shown on the feature page. You can review your Shells consumption records within your account.
3.4 Validity. Shells may have a validity period; Shells not used before they expire will lapse and are not compensated, in accordance with the rules shown on the relevant page when you purchase or obtain them. [Special notice] Shells from different sources (for example, those included in a membership benefit, those purchased separately, and those given as a trial or promotional reward) may have different validity rules; please read the rules on the relevant page carefully before you purchase or obtain them.
4. Auto-Renewal
4.1 Auto-renewal is chosen by you and activated only after you separately confirm it. We do not pre-select auto-renewal by default, and we do not carry a selection from a previous transaction over into a later one. You can manage or turn off auto-renewal at any time through the applicable payment channel (for example, Apple subscription management).
4.2 We, and the applicable payment channel, will charge the fee before each billing period. If your payment account has insufficient funds at the time of a charge, we and the payment channel may retry the charge in accordance with the channel's rules. Before each auto-charge, we will provide a reminder by an appropriate means where required. Unless you cancel, or we cancel, auto-renewal will continue to renew and charge for successive billing periods without limit on the number of renewals.
4.3 Cancellation takes effect from the next billing period. Charges already authorised or already incurred before you cancel remain valid, and amounts already charged are not refunded.
5. Pricing and Payment
5.1 Prices are as shown on the purchase page. Where a page shows a struck-through price, promotional price, or member price, unless stated otherwise the struck-through price is for reference only and does not represent an original or actual transaction price; the amount you actually pay is the amount shown on the order settlement page. Prices are inclusive or exclusive of taxes as indicated at checkout.
5.2 Please pay through our designated official channels. On iOS, purchases are made through Apple in-app purchase (IAP); on other platforms, purchases are made through the payment method shown on the applicable purchase page. If you pay through an unofficial channel (such as third-party top-up), we cannot guarantee that the transaction takes effect, and you bear any resulting loss.
5.3 Purchases made through the Apple App Store are subject to Apple's rules, and payment and refunds for such purchases are handled by Apple.
6. Refunds
6.1 Membership and Shells are digital content and virtual goods. Once purchased and consumed, they are non-refundable, except as mandatorily required by applicable law or as otherwise provided here. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have.
6.2 Discontinuation. If we permanently discontinue the Services, we will give you advance notice and refund any prepaid, unused amounts.
6.3 Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store are handled by Apple in accordance with its rules.
7. Taxes
You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your purchase, except for taxes based on our net income. Where we are required to collect tax, it will be shown at checkout or on your receipt.
8. Governing Law
These Membership and Payment Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes are resolved as set out in Section 11 of the Terms of Service (SIAC arbitration).
